We’ve found that as a community and as individuals we benefit most when we’re involved in St Martins’s on a number of levels: in large group meetings (our Sunday services), in smaller groups (Bible studies during the week), and in individual relationships with each other and with God.
Being part of a Bible study group provides opportunities which are not available in Sunday meetings. There is time to study the Bible in greater depth and, because the group is small, everyone can contribute if they want to. This means that the whole group can benefit from the perspectives, experience and knowledge of others.
In addition, Bible study groups provide a relaxed, informal environment for making friends and getting to know other people better. Group members are a support network, praying for each other and helping each other develop deeper and stronger relationships with God. Because we get to know each other, we are also able to help more with the difficulties each of us faces in life.
